Nice, another philosophical discussion.

My favourite programming quote (at least at present) is:

<<<<<<<<
Good poets borrow. Great poets steal.
>>>>>>>>

I was told T.S. Eliot ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._S._Eliot ) said it. It
was said about poetry, but applies to any creative art form, including
programming and philosophy. I noticed a pattern of borrowing or stealing
ideas from other people in my work, including my programming work.

There are many great quotes about programming in ESR's "The Cathedral and the
Bazaar" series:

http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/cathedral-bazaar/

I think everyone should read it.

Another good quote I like is lwall's "All language designers are arrogant.
Comes with the territory.".

That's it for now. Hope to see you all at the meeting.

Regards,
