The Joint Tel Aviv OSDClub (Open Source Developers' Club, which comprises of
Perl-IL, the Tel Aviv Linux Club and possibly other clubs) will hold a
meeting on Sunday, 15-June-2008 about "Vim Tips and Tricks".
The meeting will take place at Tel Aviv University, at the Schreiber Math&CS
building, room 008 on 18:30. So mark your calendars.
The meeting's topic:
--------------------
Vim ( http://www.vim.org/ ) is a popular programmers' text editor that runs on
UNIXes and on many other platforms. It is incredibly feature-rich,
well-documented, has powerful scripting and automation capabilities, and
allows very fast editing.
Originally based on the Unix "vi" editor, Vim can now emulate other Editing
conventions such as Win32, or Emacs, and due to its many features can no
longer be considered a run-of-the-mill vi "clone".
The purpose of the meeting is to share tips and tricks for Vim. Bringing
laptops, disk-on-keys, etc. would be encouraged, and we will keep a protocol
of what we've learned.

The bad thing about hardware is that it sometimes work and sometimes doesn't.
The good thing about software is that it's consistent: it always does not
work, and it always does not work in exactly the same way.
