The first part of the talk will introduce and compare the revision control systems, mainly cvs, svn and arch, their pros and cons.

The second part of the talk will introduce Arch-Magic, the GNU Arch infrastructure written in pure Perl. This multi-project consists of the library and web-based, command-line-based and graphical frontends to Arch.
