Issac has been involved in the Perl community for over 4 years. Having been fascinated by the growing web since the early 90s, he decided to learn how it all worked. Starting with basic HTML in 1997, he moved to working on some HTTP-related IETF standards in 1999-2000. Around then he started to pick up Perl to use in basic CGI scripts (for those sadists who want to see the early days, look at http://jctstud.virtualave.net/ - bonus for whomever finds the bug on the site). From there, he quickly advanced to mod_perl and writing finely-tuned web applications.
Today, he is 22 and happily married, and has recently started his own company which specialized in web hosting, design and programming.
