Ruby is a powerful object oriented scripting language that borrowed a lot of nice ideas from Perl and other languages.

In the first 2.5 minutes I will speak about why it is worth to speak about a foreign language on this Conference and list the Ruby strengths.

In the second 2.5 minutes I will discuss features Perl 5.x has and Ruby 1.x misses.
